Amy Carlson

 


Amy Lynn Carlson (born July 7 in 1968) is an American actress who is known for her performances as Linda Reagan in the CBS police procedural Blue Bloods as Alex Taylor on the NBC drama Third Watch, and Josie Watts in the NBC daytime soap show Another World.


 


 Childhood and early life


 Carlson was brought up in Glen Ellyn by Robert Eugene Carlson, her father being a schoolteacher. He was born in Elmhurst ([DuPage County Illinois to Chicago). She is of Swedish descent and is a native of Smaland. in Smaland.


 


 Career


 1986-1992: The College years and the beginning of a career


 She came into Hollywood through her role as a background actress in the film Lucas starring Charlie Sheen, Corey Haim, as well as Winona Ryder. She followed in the footsteps of her older sister Betsy who attended Knox College in Galesburg.
