Bernadette Peters

 Bernadette (nee Lazzara) Peters is an American actor and singer. Through a long career that spans over six decades she has appeared in musical theatre, television and film, and performed in her own concerts, and released recordings. She is an acclaimed Broadway performer. She has been awarded seven Tony Awards nominations (plus an honorary award) in addition to nine Drama Desk Award nominations. Four of the Broadway album of cast on which she's performed have been awarded Grammy Awards.



 



 Many consider Peters as the best Stephen Sondheim interpreter. She is well-known for performances on Broadway including Mack and Mabel (1974), Sunday in the Park with George (1884), Song and Dance (1885), Into the Woods with George (1987), The Goodbye Girl (1993), Annie Get Your Gun (1999), Gypsy (2003), A Little Night Music (2010), Follies (2009) and Hello, Dolly (2018).
