Alison Doody

Alison Doody was born in Dublin, Ireland on November 11, 1996. The model is as well as an Irish actress. Following her feature film debut with a small part in Bond film A View to a Kill (1985) she was later cast to play an archaeologist who is sympathetic to Nazis, Elsa Schneider, in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989). Other roles include Siobhan Donavan in A Prayer for the Dying (1987) Charlotte in Taffin (1988) as well as Rebecca Flannery in Major League II (1994). Doody was first introduced to modeling when she was invited by a professional photographer. The result was an enviable career as a commercial model. Doody was adamantly against fashion, thongs and glamour when she was modeling. Doody was Sapsorrow in the episode of Jim Henson's fantasy series The Storyteller, opposite John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. Her first appearance was in the 1988 movie Taffin with Pierce Brosnan. Next, she portrayed Dr. Elsa Schneider as an Austrian Nazi-sympathizer and archaeologist opposite Harrison Ford. Doody played the role with Sean Connery, who played Indiana Jones' father. Doody starred alongside Jonathan Pryce as Hitler Diaries the British mini-series that was inspired by Hitler Diaries. She later moved to Hollywood. She was chosen to replace Cybill Shepard in the role of L'Oreal spokeswoman and was later cast alongside Charlie Sheen as Flannery, his agent and girlfriend as Flannery's girlfriend and agent in Major League II. Doody's return to the screen was in 2003 when Michael Caine played Doody in an uncredited role. She was in the film alongside Patrick Swayze, in the 2004 TV film adaptation to King Solomon's Mines. Doody filming a character in Danny Dyer's 2010 film The Rapture. Then, she appeared on RTE's medical thriller The Clinic. She was supposed to play the lead role in a remake in 2011 of the horror movie The Asphyx. However, this project fell through. She began her first two seasons of the E4 comedy Beaver Falls in 2011 as Pam Jefferson. In 2014, she was a part of We Still Kill the Old Way. The Almeria Tierra de Film Award was presented to her on the 21st of November the 21st of November, 2018. In addition, she was awarded an award on the Almeria Walk of Fame.
